Terrazzo Polishing

Terrazzo polishing is a multi step process that deep cleans, hones, and refines your terrazzo surface to remove dullness, light scratches, and buildup, leaving a smooth, glossy, and easy to clean finish.

If your terrazzo looks dull, has light surface scratches, or shows traffic patterns but is otherwise intact, polishing is often enough. If you see deep scratches, chips, cracks, or uneven areas, a more extensive restoration that includes repair and grinding may be recommended.

Our technicians clean the surface, remove old coatings and waxes, hone the terrazzo with diamond abrasives, and then polish it to a bright, reflective finish. When needed, we also fill small chips or voids so the floor looks even and consistent.

No. We use equipment with water and containment systems that greatly reduce dust and keep the work area as clean as possible. At the end of the job, we clean the area so you can get back to normal use quickly.

Most residential rooms can be completed in a day, while larger homes or commercial areas may take longer. The exact time depends on the size of the space, the level of damage, and whether repairs are needed before polishing.

Yes. We carefully assess chip size, color, and distribution, then use color matched materials to fill and blend repairs so they are as unobtrusive as possible before the final hone and polish.

Polishing does not change the actual color. Instead, it removes dullness, soil, and residue so the original colors and aggregate patterns look richer, clearer, and more vibrant.

We often recommend sealing after polishing to help protect against spills and stains and to make routine cleaning easier. Our sealers are designed to work with terrazzo and maintain its natural look and shine.

Use a terrazzo cleaner designed for stone or terrazzo, avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads, and follow the simple maintenance plan we provide. With proper care, your polished terrazzo will stay bright and attractive for a long time.
